Possibly because bus activation is no longer the way to do this, at 
least in the systemd world and the worlds of other real service 
managers.  Bus activation results in unmanaged processes that are not 
set up as true services supervised by a service manager; and that run in 
the wrong context, that of the Desktop bus broker which might have some 
draconian resource limits imposed.  Having a true service in runit and 
disabling the bus activation is actually the right thing to do.
