I have put together libpam-elogind-compat. The sources are available from
https://hindley.org.uk/~mark/debian/libpam-elogind-compat_1.0.dsc. Have targeted
experimental.

I had to make one small change to libpam-elogind so it no longer Breaks:
libpam-systemd otherwise the are not co-installable.

This is in my Debian specific branch at
https://git.devuan.org/LeePen/elogind/tree/debian_WIP

Both could do with review and testing.
