• On the Underground. In my spare time, I design board games, of which On the Underground is the first to be published. This is a fun game about building the London Underground the way it was meant to be built - the really cool part about it is that when the game is finished, the board looks just like a real underground map in some twisted alternative reality.
• Pete the Carnivorous Plant. In 2001, I made a new years resolution that I would draw a new comic each day for a year. Pete the Carnivorous Plant was the result, and chronicles the attempts of the titled hero to seek excitement, compost, and world conquest. Not necessarily in that order.
• Obfuscated Perl. While at university, I wrote a couple of obfuscated perl programs with a friend - David Chan. Although I claim obfuscation, this was not the key goal when writing them - maybe a better term would be 'optimised for size'.
• Entropy and the Universe. I wrote this essay as part of my A-level physics coursework, and on rediscovering it some years later, decided to put it online. It's a summary of how entropy affects our understanding of the universe. It's linked to by a suprisingly large number of places, and every so often I stumble across another, so people must like it.
• Sparse Ramsey Theory. This essay, in turn, was part of my fourth year project in Cambridge, and summarises a number of papers on sparse ramsey theory in order to illustrate the similarities between the methods used.
• Revision Notes. A lot of my life so far has been dominated by exams of one flavour or another. To help other people in similar situations, and so that I can access my notes from anywhere if I want to remember just how something worked, I've made them availiable online.
• Software Recommendations and Product Vendors. On a similar line, I've noted down the pieces of software I like installed on my windows box and companies I've purchased from online both for people's edification and so that I can remember where to find them.
• Bridge Hopping (8.9 Mb). When in Cambridge, it is traditional to go punting. And when punting, it is traditional to bridge-hop - that is to go over bridges while the punt goes underneath. This video illustrates the technique. Badly.
• Librarian and Utilities. I use a Palm to organise my life, and in order to make things easier for myself, I've written a couple of progams for it. These have had limited success - Librarian, in particular, crashes on my current Palm whenever I try to use it. Still, they're availiable for those who are interested.
• King Arthur - The Card Game Rules. I've been involved with playtesting a lot of Reiner Knizia's games. This is the english rules translation for one which I had a large part in designing. Other games I feel close to are Tower of Babel, the InuYasha dice game and various of the Lord of the Rings expansions.
