Cumberland pie
Ingredients
- Mince - 500g
- Potato - 400g
- Other veg as desired
- Salt & pepper
- Herbs and spices as desired
Method
- Dice potatoes and get them boiling.
- Brown mince with onion - cook until tender.
- Prepare other veg as required, add to mix, add herbs and spices as desired.
- Drain excess fat, transfer to ovenproof dish.
- Mash the potato, season it, optionally add milk and butter.
- Completely cover the mince/veg with mashed potato.
- Optionally, shred a carrot over the top and/or pour on a soup.
- Bake at GM5 for 50mins. (Note; still needs refining. GM4/45m isn't enough.)
- Sprinkle grated cheese over the top and return to over for a further 5 minutes.
