Cumberland pie

Method

  1. Dice potatoes and get them boiling.
  2. Brown mince with onion - cook until tender.
  3. Prepare other veg as required, add to mix, add herbs and spices as desired.
  4. Drain excess fat, transfer to ovenproof dish.
  5. Mash the potato, season it, optionally add milk and butter.
  6. Completely cover the mince/veg with mashed potato.
  7. Optionally, shred a carrot over the top and/or pour on a soup.
  8. Bake at GM5 for 50mins. (Note; still needs refining. GM4/45m isn't enough.)
  9. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top and return to over for a further 5 minutes.
