For family & friends thinking of buying our son Charles a present for his birthday or Christmas.

1. Please, no more toys! Currently he has plenty of age-appropriate toys, which we just about keep under control.
2. We are saving up for a really nice climbing frame from John Lewis, hopefully by summer 2009, therefore we would very much welcome John Lewis vouchers (or boring old money) towards this.
3. Books are always popular. We maintain a wishlist on Amazon with some suggestions.
4. Age-appropriate clothes are useful, though be warned that we are very opinionated! Please nothing in pastel blue, military style or American football-themed. Things we like are: strong colours, science & nature themes, stripes, dinosaurs and other animals, and simple plain styles. If in doubt, talk to Rachel.
5. Money for his Child Trust Fund. Money in the account cannot be withdrawn until his 18th birthday, when he will have full control over it.
6. A donation to any of the following organisations: The National Childbirth Trust, La Leche League, or The Children's Society.
