Metheringham station lies to the east of the village it serves in rural Lincolnshire. With the village behind us, we look along the road to the level crossing:
The station has a small car park and a connecting bus service:

The level crossing crosses the line at the eastern end of the station, and has old-style gates operated by the occupant of the signalbox. The signalbox is known as Blankney:
Approaching the crossing from the east, we see a large building on the right:
