Disley sign

Disley station is basic, but to judge from the difference between the photos on the National Rail website and the station's appearance when I visited, it's greatly improved from what it used to be. Planters and passenger information displays and a fresh lick of paint do wonders for a place. Sadly the front of the station still leaves a little to be desired:

The wicket gate to the right of the station building leads on to platform 2 for trains towards Manchester, while a ramp leads up to the road bridge which connects the two platforms:
