We arrived in Arnside about an hour before the Youth Hostel opened, so nipped down to Arnside station to collect it and nearby Silverdale. The station entrance is up a ramp just north of Station Road:

The ramp leads up onto the northbound platform 2:

An iron footbridge connects the two platforms:
