My employers have an office up in Aberdeen -- North Sea oil has made it a centre for the oil and gas industry -- so I've been up there a few times. Most recently I came up by Sleeper, which, apart from being a very civilised way to travel, gave me a little time to look at Aberdeen's station before heading on my way.
After the long curved platforms the first thing you notice is the cavernous concourse:

From the outside, the station looks rather drab:
To the right of the station buildings the road goes over the railway, and gives a rooftop view of the station:
