Hyde Central station doesn't look much more loved than Hyde North just down the way. The front of the station, below a large welcome sign is bricked up:

A long view south along the front of the station. Ahead is the car park and entrance to the platforms and immediately to our right is an underpass under the railway:

Looking under the bridge:

Walking to the end of the car park we get to the ramped entrance to platform 2:

On platform 2 through the gate on the right, we look north along the platform:

Looking past the shelter at the northern end of platform 2:

Towards the southern end of platform 2, looking back north at the shelter and the disused stretch of platform 1 on the left:

To get to the other platform one has to go back to the car park area at the front of the station and go through the subway:

The subway steps lead up on to platform 1 next to the shelter, here looking north:

At the southern end of platform 1 looking north:

Looking south we see the shelter opposite and beyond a fence there's a disused stretch of platform:

Weeds grow through the cracks in the disused stretch of platform 1:

Walking all the way to the other end of the platform we look south:

At this end of the platform we can look north over the bridge:
