May 997x1031, a donation to St-Pierre de Beaulieu by Pierre, who arranges that after his death they will receive half a capmansio and eight denariatas of vine at l'Olme, these all under the care of one tenant couple. St-Pierre is already a neighbour on one side (and it is only given two). The other half of the capmansio, the document explains, is already given to the donor's nephew's widow to sustain her after the death of the selfsame donor's nephew, Jean, who died without children; it too will pass to Beaulieu on her death, and any claims of Pierre's kin are excluded. She, unusuaally but understandably, appears among the witnesses. Dating is only by month and King Robert, and no abbot is named. First witness is a Viscount Ebolo, whom Deloche figures as a viscount of Comborne, son of Archambald.
