Cut up by taxi LV04 NZT

I was riding along Emmanual Street this afternoon at about 3pm.  I was
going towards the bus station at perhaps 15-20mph.  (The speed limit
there is 20mph.)  I noticed the oncoming bus, and the taxi behind.  It
seemed to me that the taxi might choose to overtake me alongside the
bus, which I felt wouldn't have been safe.  I therefore adopted the
assertive road position you see in this clip.

When the bus had passed, we were approaching the traffic islands for
the mini roundabout, but the taxi driver had obviously had enough of
waiting behind me so overtook me leaving not enough space and then cut
me up.

When I caught up with him at the mini-roundabout he told me "you were
in the middle of the road" as if I shouldn't have been, and "I left
you plenty of space" which as you can see wasn't true.
