From perdita@mcc.ac.uk Mon Feb 4 11:48:35 GMT 2002 I tried a recipe we were given in class last night and it was so fab I thought I'd put it on here in case anyone hadn't seen it already and fancied trying it. I love pizza, and so far the best I'd been able to do was a tesco's pizza base mix (16 sins) loaded up with free & a/b foods. This is better still - it's free! Well, depending what you do with it. Anyway, you get a packet (those 88g ones) of smash (whatever flavour you fancy) and make it up with a little less water than usual so it's a bit thicker. Squish that down evenly onto a pizza tray and bake it for about 20 minutes till it's browning. Flip it over and top it as you desire. I simmered a can of italian tomatoes with onions and herbs in down to reduce it a bit and put that on with some tuna (b), sweetcorn, mushrooms and olives (1 sin for 7) and topped it with my cheese allowance. Another ten minutes or so in the oven and it was done. I was going out for a 'sports massage' half an hour later so I decided to just eat half then and have the rest when I got back. Unfortunately it was far far too lovely for that so I ate the lot and took my chances with the massage. Obviously it isn't 'bready' like normal pizza base (and you'd struggle to pick a slice up and eat it by hand) but it was very nice indeed. I will be ordering some more 'smash' from tesco very soon.
