Ursa and Missy are rescued strays. At the moment, they're very timid and spend nearly all their time in the bathroom, hiding behind the toilet. Normally, they snuggle up together but Ursa was out exploring until he saw me, spooked, scuttled into the bathroom and climbed on top of Missy, even though he's literally twice her size.
Elk Horn claims to be the largest rural Danish community outside Denmark, though one suspects they might claim that any larger community would be urban! They imported a windmill from Denmark, and rebuilt it in the village in the mid 1970s.
The Sunken Gardens haven't been replanted yet so there wasn't a lot to see, except for an American robin hunting bugs.
