The Rock of Travolta and a load of others

Oxford Zodiac, Sat Nov 17

After much bounceing, only some of it fueled by dubious substances, we made our way to the Zodiac where we were to see some bands. A long bounce filled wait outside was filled up with much gibberish, cries of "MOOOO", and other high brow conversation thingies....

Six Ray Sun were very good. They would have been great but they forgot to have a vocalist. Really bouncy music, but unfortunately there just wasn't enough in it to keep the attention whilst it was only instrumental.

The next two bands were And Meanwhile Back in Communist Russia and Eeeblebeee (Spelling isn't likely to be right.) I don't feel that I can fiarly tell you what they were like, as I was sufficiently uninterested in the to head to the back and Dott at bounce. Or something like that.

The Rock of Travolta Rocked! Again, no vocalist, but they did sem to have and entire platoon of guitarists, which meant that there was enough depth to the music that it was really good. Go see them if you have a chance. I'm slightly worried about all of them fitting into the Portland though... It was a really good atmosphere in the Zodiac, and everyone was having fun. I was most impressed when, after one person had been repeatedly stage diving, people began to undress him as he went over.. He lost both shoes at one point :)

Really enjoyed them.

And then on the way home I had chips with cheese and a pickled egg, and bumped into Justin, a friend whom I'd not seen for about 6 months, completely randomly! How good is that.
