18xx games we have played 18Ireland: 16 plays. I often win it. Forced mergers, company dumping, and there's never the tile you want. Harzbahn 1873: 15 plays. Mines, but you knew that. Very different to most games. Seems highly dependent on the initial auction and on just when you grow your company (and on Greg tokening out your routes but that's true of every game). 1846: 14 plays. You know this one. Probably to wait for Joanna feeling like playing again since ceb is still a bit '46ed out. 18LA: 1 play. 1846 rules, different and tighter map. Worth a go again some time? 1866: 13 plays. Most of Europe. No stock rounds. Clare really likes it and we basically always have a game of it running. 1822: 4 plays. Great big map of the UK. A bit odd in that it has a huge number of minors most of which should not be started. 1822PNW: 5 plays. Probably the '22 family game I liked the best, and I gather the latest rules make it less painful if you can't get two mergeable minors, but IDK if .games has them yet. 1822MX: 2 plays. 1822 only in Mexico. I didn't get on with this much. 1862: 10 plays. East Anglia. Mostly stranger games, and the autorouter doesn't work which AFAIK still makes it very inconvenient for Dave. Clare likes it. 1860: 1 play. Isle of Wight. Similar problem to '62. 21Moon. 7 plays. On the Moon! Trains pay out or withhold based on which base they run from. One of those private auctions which seems to want you to have played a bunch to know what to bid on (this is true of many games). 18ZOO: 6 plays. Nut-gathering squirrels, the game is mostly special powers, I don't think any of us knows how to play it. Shikoku 1889. 5 plays. Apparently a slightly smaller 1830, but I quite like it. 1817: 4 plays. Extra stock market shenanigans in the form of shorting shares. I have mostly played in "big one" 12 player stranger games. 1825: 4 plays. An early Tresham design; now very unconventional with no liability for Directors. 18GB: 4 plays. GB map (surprise!). Bit unusual; no liability, but shares in trainless companies sell at half price a la '62. 1848: 3 plays. Australia. The Bank of England can eat your railway, and sometimes that's good. 1849: 3 plays. Sicily. Vicious train rush. Two track gauges. Clare didn't like it. 1840: 2 plays. Vienna tramways. A very oddball Lonny design where companies own lines and lines own trams. 18CZ. 2 plays. Lonny design with three sizes of companies. I remember little about it. 18SJ. 2 plays. Sweden. 1861: 1 play. Russia. The Russian State Railway can eat your company and sometimes that's good. 1867: 2 plays. 1861, but in Canadia. The Old Prince 1871: the gimmick is there is no straight track, and it's very annoying. Seems to me to have an even _more_ vital and impenetrable auction. Not keen on it. 1893: 1 play. Cologne. I think we played this early on and found it very heavy going, but we might do better now. 18AL. 1 play. Alabama. 1830ish, but historical destinations and mine spots. 18Texas. 1 play. Map seemed very dull. 18CO. 1 play. Colorado. Mines and stock-market shenanigans. Worth another look? 18Mag. 1 play. Hungary. Lonny design with players owning minors outright who buy services from stock-traded majors that don't run trains. Uncle Lachlan's 18 Christmas Eve: 1 play. Pretty normal game on a goofy map. Rolling Stock Stars. 2 plays. Not an 18xx game. 18poohsticks. 0 plays. Have not yet written it.
