The CU Worshippers of Cthulhu Society

Welcome to the home of CUWoCS, the society for the discerning individual (the individual who would rather not end up as lunch when the Big C Wakes Up, that is). Here you will find out all you wanted to know about CUWoCS, lots that you didn't want to know about CUWoCS, and several things about CUWoCS that will ensure that you will provide psychologists with research material for a long, long time. Enjoy.

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

'In His House at R'lyeh Dead Cthulhu waits dreaming,
yet He shall rise and His kingdom shall cover the Earth.'

So, who is Cthulhu, anyway?

Cthulhu is a Great Old One. He and his brethren ruled the Universe untold millennia ago, but now the stars are wrong and He lies sleeping in his city beneath the waves, R'lyeh. When the Stars Are Right He will emerge and feast, and we who worship Him will be elevated to our rightful places of power, and will live forever in an orgy of feasting, fighting, and f... well, you get the idea.

When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live.

What does Cthulhu look like?

Beware! The full sight of Cthulhu in his native glory would sear your mind and leave you babbling and cursing in the dust at His feet. Be grateful, therefore, that we do not provide any photos. However, we do have an artist's impression of the Big C which may give a glimpse, just a glimpse mind you, of His immensity. The artist paid for his temerity with his sight, his sanity, and his life. For more details, check out the Cthulhu Gallery.

Zi Dingir Ana Kanpa, Zi Dingir Kia Kanpa

'Spirits of the earth remember, spirits of the sky remember.'

So, what does CUWoCS do, then?

Wouldn't you like to know, eh? If you want to find out, contact a Cultist of the Committee and tell him you want to volunteer. He'll let you know exactly what to do. Firstly, and this is important, make sure you have changed your will to include us. For more details, check out the Cthulhu Hymnal.

Loathsome Cthulhu rose then from the deeps and raged with exceeding great fury against the Earth Guardians. And They bound his venomous claws with potent spells and sealed him up within the City of R'lyeh wherein beneath the waves he shall sleep death's dream until the end of the Aeon. Beyond the Gate dwell now the Old Ones; not in the spaces known unto men but in the angles betwixt them. Outside Earth's plane They linger and ever awaite the time of Their return; for the Earth has known Them and shall know Them in time yet to come.

Cthulhu on the Web

There is lots more information of Great Cthulhu available on the web. Some of it is good, a lot of it is crap. For your edification and enjoyment we present a selection of the Best of Cthulhu on the Web.

Whenever thou wouldst call forth Those from Outside, thou must mark well the seasons and times in which the spheres do intersect and the influences flow from the Void

Thou must observe the cycle of the Moon, the movements of the planets, the Sun's course through the Zodiac and the rising of the constellations.

...Supplicate Great Cthulhu only at Hallowmas Eve when the Sun abides within the House of the Scorpion and Orion riseth. When All Hallows falls within the cycle of the new Moon the power shall be the strongest.
