Episode 3 of Diplomatic Immunity

The PCs were in Angelos's flat, discussing their next move, when someone started unlocking the front door. Bo held the door shut and was able to see that it was a girl in her mid-twenties. He opened the door quickly, causing her to fall into the flat. She started screaming for help and a neighbour came out and knocked on the door. The PCs told her they were looking for Angelos but she only told them he was in jail. She also claimed that she lived in the flat, after first denying it. They left when the neighbour started to get insistent. He called her Cassandra and seemed to know her.

Larzuc looked Cassandra up and discovered that she is a minor Internet personality. She is famous for having found a hole in the Dresselhaus Protocol, which is used in setting up teleport transactions. She currently works as a security consultant. She is an off-worlder. The PCs spent a long time debating what to do next and eventually decided to follow Cassandra.

The PCs went back to Angelos's flat and saw Cassandra leave. They tailed her to a prefab house close to the Ocherland teleport station which she didn't have a front-door key to. The house was registered to a Dr Kuczynski. Leigh crept up and heard an argument going on inside; Cassandra seemed to think that the PCs were a threat to the Plan and another waoman was tring to calm her down. The name Leslie was mentioned. Later the PCs saw the other woman, who was older. They failed to find any pictures of Kuczynski. As the PCs left the area they noticed lots of police going in the other direction, and later found out that there was a bomb scrae at the teleport station which had been closed.

While this was going on, Larzuc had discovered that Angelos had been jailed for possessing a drug called quiggin in a sufficiently large quantity that the prosecution declared he had to have been dealing it. The quiggin was not from any of the known sources. The police had been tipped off to search his flat and found it there. He was defended by a public defender, tried very quickly under Tara Stone's fast track anti-drugs campaign, and jailed for two years. He is currently in the Massen Rehabilitation Centre. The PCs would be allowed to visit him provided he requested the visit.

The PCs then went to bug the house of Arturo Weaver and also Kucynski's house. They were turned back by the police near to the teleport station because the bomb still hadn't been found. They successfully bugged Weaver's house but only discovered that he typed on his computer in the small hours of the morning.

The next morning they had a message from Weaver offering to meet them. They took him to lunch. He claimed to be a friend of Cassandra's who had introduced Cassandra to Angelos in a bar called The Beach. He was concerned about the fact that the PCs were looking for Angelos because Cassandra was convinced that Angelos was framed and that some banks were out to get him. Weaver considered that the PCs were not convincing academic publishers and wanted to know what they were really up to. Kale told him that they were working for Vega and looking for Angelos who had some stolen Vega property. Weaver also revealed that he was worried about Cassandra' association with a man called Vanderdecker. Larzuc discovered that Vanderdecker owned some kind of spaceship and had written papers on teleportation and hyperdrive. Weaver gave them Cassandra's contact details as they seemed to at least belive in the frame.

The PCs went and sat in Suzuki Gardens and discussed their next move. Larzuc was very definite about not doing anything that might involve getting stuck back on Dziban. He went back to the local Vega offices and the other PCs called Cassandra, who seemed more willing to talk to them having spoken to Weaver in the meantime. She agreed to meet them in the Beach.

Larzuc got back to Vega and was arrested^Wtaken into protective custody by the Ocherland police. They were deeply suspicious about the PCs' activities, had Bo on camera breaking in to Hobson's office, and believed Hobson to be a terrorist. Larzuc admitted that the metting in Suzuki Gardens where he got shot had been set up in the museum.

Cassandra met the other PCs in the Beach. She was convinced that Angelos had been framed by a bank called Rayearth Group because he had found proof (with Cassandra's, erm, security skills) that Rayearth Group had found a live alien colony. She was worried about Vanderdecker seeing her with the PCs and wanted the PCs to help her prove the frame. At this point the police arrived and Cassandra fled. The PCs also fled.

Kale rapidly surrendered to the police who seemed fairly trigger-happy, and Bo, who tried to shoot them, was stunned into submission almost immediately. Leigh got quite a long way, even with Cassandra in tow, and was eventually cornered inside a fruit shop, having stolen a car and damaged the traffic police's helicopter along the way. Cassandra was taken away and the PCs taken to the same room as Larzuc.

Vega's lawyer eventually got the police to release them, though they weren't happy about it. It turned out that they had other problems to worry about though, because there had just been a breakout at Massen Rehabilitation Centre and Angelos was amongst the escapees.
