It was written on a Debian Linux system, but may also function on other distributions and UNIX variants with a System V init. The syntax of initview is as follwos. The command can be executed in a number of different ways. initview Without parameters, the command displays a list of init scripts that have been run at run level 3, the default network configuration. Those that are started at this run level are marked "On", the rest are marked "Off". In addition, initview displays the name of scripts executed at boot time. initview
