Building a tandem

I have a small pile of old bike frames, a MIG welder, and some bookmarks to web pages about building things. One day they might meet each other, but don't hold your breath.

While the original plan was to build a recumbent, I also considered building a tandem (and/or a cargo longbike).

We have bought a second hand tandem, a Mission Duet. It's a bit small for me, but it's more likely that I'll buy an upgrade than try and make one, at least by welding.

The Bamboo Bicycle Club don't have a tandem kit, but have made tandems as custom builds.
