On a raised platform in the center of the lab is an ornately carved Norman baptismal font (Lesser Feature and Lesser Focus), filled with crystal clear water. At the west end of the room under the window is an elegant walnut table, on which stands an ornate two-pan balance with weights marked in grains, scruples, drams, and ounces (Lesser Feature). In the north-east corner stands a large copper cauldron, covered in verdigris (Lesser Feature) with a rack holding various ladles, tongs, and other tools nearby. A walnut bookcase stands in the north-west corner, and beside it under the north-west window is a lectern, also of walnut. The lack of a workbench anywhere in the lab adds to the sense of spaciousness and order, but makes it unsuitable for crafting items (Missing Equipment, Items).

+A second door has been added in the south-west corner, leading through into a comfortable bedroom, which is connected in turn to an elegantly furnished reception room. Doors lead to the courtyard and to the staircase corridor from the reception room. Above the bedroom and reception room are two additional rooms, both furnished as bedrooms. The western room is larger and has a door leading to the staircase corridor, while the eastern room is entered from the gallery.
