   1 The fencing salle is a large and spacious room at the back of the building, on the ground floor and with large shuttered windows to let in plenty of light. There is an observation at one end to allow students to watch a bout and the full length of the back wall is tiled with ceiling to floor metal mirrors. The floor is polished wood inlaid with a circle and a strip of different covered wood to allow different types of bouts to be undertake.
