   8 Tanis was born in a small village of greek colonist/expatriots in the
   9 Crimea.  Her actual birthdate is unknown and she has no memories of
  10 her father (who died before she was born), and only limited memories
  11 of her mother.  Much later the investigations of the covenent of
  12 Animus Silvae concluded:

  14 * Both her mother and father were human.
  15 * Her father had probably had an encounter with a wood nymph (probably
  16   a Caryatid).
  17 * She is named after her father.
  18 * Her mother died while she was an infant.
  19 * Following the death of her mother the other villagers were relieved
  20   when a prosperous-looking gentleman with an
  21   [[aged nursemaid|Covenfolk/Dunya]] arrived,
  22   claimed to be a relative, and took her away.
  23 * She was approximately 10 years old when they discovered her on
  24   approximately 12^th^ May 1197.

  26 Members of Animus Silvae discovered Tanis in the court of a powerful
  27 faerie during Spring 1197 and by a combinations of threats, force, and
  28 trickery extracted both her and the nursemaid.  Upon returning to the
  29 covenant Elly took her as an apprentice.

  31 Tanis' captor continued to harass Animus for the next 15 years and she
  32 had another encounter with him during her gauntlet.  A couple of
  33 seasons after gauntlet Tanis' parens, Elly, departed into a faerie
  34 regio and has not been seen since.

  36 Animus Silvae is preparing for impending cataclysms; and they hoped
  37 that distance would at least reduce the amount of time Tanis had to
  38 spend dealing with the overattentive faerie; so the senior magi were
  39 delighted when they heard that Edward was looking for new juniors…

  41 Tanis is a Follower of Pendule, and has completed the initiation of
  42 Spell Timing.

  56   "borrowed" her as a parens I think it might be a bit odd having
  57   someone else's PC I can barely remember actually intrude on the
  58   campaign.

  60   Mongols (after mostly defeating their own faerie menace).
