   4  Provides "traditional" versions of fixed-width fonts.

   6  These are a set of 6x13 fonts (including "fixed"), with foundry name
   7  "trad" instead of "misc", with several glyphs replaced with earlier
   8  versions from before Markus Kuhn's changes:
   9   - balanced ` and '
  10   - less tall [ ] ( ) { }
  11   - centred *
  12   - high ~
  13   - traditional appearance of lower case a
  14  .
  15  These changes make the fonts compatible with the US-ASCII character
  16  set.  (UTF-8 is not compatible with ASCII in its usage of the
  17  backquote and some other characters.)  With these fonts, pre-2000
  18  documents (including ASCII art and GNU manuals) will render
  19  correctly.

  21  Optionally, this package will edit your configuration to make the
  22  default font "fixed" refer to the traditional font.

  24  (This package does not actually contain the bulk of the font data;
  25  rather, it automatically generates the required modified fonts for
  26  each font you have installed.)
