One thing this episode shows is how difficult it is for Joe Public to understand the crypto/certificate errors and warnings from browsers. And which are safe to ignore and which are important to heed. 

It undermines the security of TLS/SSL.

No, Chrome does not complain about use of TLS 1.0.
