What do you think about communications data collection and storage?

Mine is behind a NAT, but I don't have any reason to believe their 
clocks are so far out that traceability would suffer (obviously the 
telco will still have to do the lookup of who was online at that moment, 
just like they have to do with traditional dynamic-IP modem pools).
