One thing's for sure, we can't tell from information like this divulged 
to the press.

Look on the bright side, they haven't arrested the worker [who was 
presumably licking the swabs during manufacture] for murder. Even though 
they have DNA evidence to prove it. Plod is not the automaton he's 
sometimes accused of being.
