Given their comment in this article:
Detective Constable Simon Berwick, based at Craigmillar police
station, said officers were working to identify the IP address of
the latest e-mail.
He said: "The e-mail did not have immediately obvious details which
we can progress, but we're taking a look at it now to see if we can
find the IP address to determine where it was sent from.
I think progress may be slow until they ask someone to help them; who
knows what they are doing and can, for example, display header fields :(
Of course progress may immediately cease at a dead end, if the sender
was in the least bit competent themselves! But at least the officers
will not waste any more time on that lead.
