| The security of a secret is approximately proportional to the square of
| the number of people who can access it.

There's the related issue that Ross et al make - for a bigger database:

1. More people need access (so more chance of a bad apple), and:

2. The value of what they _have access to_ be may higher 
      (so the motivation for any bad apple is greater).

I'd have thought there's an approximately "square" relationship in there 
somewhere...
