The daily capping scheme is a huge advantage for the traveller 
(irrespective of the cheaper fares compared to cash tickets) because you 
don't have to guess in advance whether you need to buy a Travelcard, or 
multiple singles, on a particular visit to London.

The disadvantage is having to remember to touch in and out (particularly 
troublesome, I find, on the ungated DLR) and make sure there aren't 
unresolved journeys.
