Well remember that this is the same Jim Gamble who, on a File on Four
programme about the errors made in investigating Operation Ore
suspects and the false accusations that have never been retracted,
stated that clear evidence that an accused man's credit card was
actually used from a Brazilian IP address to purchase online child
pornography at the same time that he was in a restaurant in the UK and
could prove it was "of no interest to me".
The man concerned lost his well paid job and was ostracized by many
members of his family over this error.
While the police display this distressing inability to comprehend the
relationships between different entities and companies on the internet,
they will never succeed in their mostly laudable intentions to avoid
harm to minors.
