Richard Allan was previously a Lib Dem MP (interestingly for Sheffield
- Nick Clegg took over his constituency when he stood down). His
background is certainly not typical big business.

His website, including a blog back to 2003 which includes comments on
No2ID and similar issues is at http://www.richardallan.org.uk/ (his
blogging became rather thinner after his leaving parliament in 2005).

Personally I'd be a bit concerned that he is too close to the leader
he is advising rather than necessarily that he is a privacy raping
business fanatic :-)

	Nigel.
