As a late followup to this - I've now had a chance to experiment with a
chipped passport as well as an oyster card and I can independently
confirm the RFID blocking wallets work. The specific product I tested
(And I've owned for quite a while) is the RFID Blocking Passport Case.
It's a nice passport case in general, although the little bit of leather
trim down the side of the transparent passport window comes off pretty
quickly with heavy use.
