Oh - totally - it's awful. But there's every likelihood that by then 
people will be increasingly in the habit of giving a fingerprint for all 
sorts of things - turn on their computer, use a credit card, whenever 
they travel, etc. And the younger generation is being prepared for this 
with school library, cafeteria, and registration systems that use 
biometrics. By the time they're 18, many of them will find being asked 
to give one by the police more or less business as usual.
