Card fraud involves huge amounts of money. The threats are various,
from sophisticated criminal gangs to dozy louts who steal and sell
cards.
Why do card providers and banks continue to make such a terrible mess
of online systems? It's not as if they don't have the money to spend
on it.
When Nationwide had a data-loss they should have made serious changes.
The only things I noticed was a pages asking me to provide more
answers to "security questions", because they'd be asking "security
questions" more often in future.
