As you seem to dislike that part of RIPA so much, would you support its 
repeal, so that police and local authorities can do surveillance without 
having to leave an audit trail?

(As usual, the newspaper falsely reports that RIPA "allows" councils to 
do surveillance, when in fact all it does it put hurdles in the way of 
what they were already doing.)
