Ah, you're a bit behind on technology. This is a recently defined  
unit of entropy.
The k stands for kitten. It's the entropy available from leaving one  
kitten with
one Wii Fit for one second. 256k is therefore obviously the entropy  
available from
leaving 256 kittens on a Wii Fit for one second. This unit scales in  
a highly
non-linear and non-uniform fashion with number of kittens.
