I have always reckoned myself to be very much at the consumer end, when 
it comes to moving in circles (and they don't come any more consumer 
than my Mum). But you are suggesting I've gone a bit "native" at the 
geek end. Hmm, I'll have to think about that.

I can relate to that :) It's especially dangerous when you've suggested 
the configuration sold in the shops, which was once my somewhat 
thankless task. Although that convinced me that all product designers 
should be *made* to use their own products for at least a year, so they 
do it better next time!
