hear an extended version of that interview here
At about 12 minutes in, there's some fascinating prevaricating which
sort-of implies that Phorm are causing operations on `their' cookies
in your browser to be carried out apparently by the website (not
signed up to OIX) that you're looking at. Hard to follow quite what
was meant, but if browsing to website X via a Phorm-infected ISP
causes any operations to be carried out that wouldn't otherwise have
been carried out by website X then that's surely a legal problem.
At about 23 minutes in he repeatedly refers to Privacy International
as having audited his company, and then rejects the conception that
Simon Davies of 80/20 is anything other than Simon Davies of Privacy
International. Were I Simon Davies, I think I'd have a word with my
client to point out that I employed 80/20, not PI or the LSE.
