I thought we had reached that point quite some time ago.

If any person exhibits trust in our government and the bureaucracies
that it claims to control that decreases my estimate of that person's
intelligence - and most people I know think the same way as I do.  The
people who incompetently administer and pretend to secure our
infrastructure are definitely "them", and I would be ashamed to have
those disgusting clowns classified along with me as "us".

Yes, the trouble is wide and deep - and the trouble is that the white
hats inside the "security" tent are NOT worthy of our trust, they are
not capable of avoiding the senseless killing of innocents in their
pursuit of power, they are not above lying disgracefully about the
circumstances in which they killed, and the only things that matter to
them are spin and PR, certainly not sensible security arrangements.
