Seggregation doesn't help if they are transferring to another 
international flight.. In this case you wouldn't have to go through 
immigration (or at least the same level of checks) as if you were coming 
to the UK rather than just transiting the UK. The danger is where domestic 
and international passengers are not seggregated.
