Hey Paul,
Looks like just another site traffic analysis package to me - similar to
piwik or Webalizer. Websites are well within their rights to gather this
information for their own use (although the use of "tracking cookies" is a
different matter - no word on whether it uses them or not...). Think of it
as a more advanced traffic logs analysis setup.
