Hey everyone,
Some of you may have heard that David Davis (shadow home sec, tory)
has resigned his seat today. He felt saddened and disgusted at the 42
day detention win - and is forcing a by election so he can fight what
he's called the 'database state'. This is where things can change - by
making the press and parliament talk about this - and so i am going to
do all I can to ensure that he gets re-elected with a majority large
enough to make it clear that we've had enough of this over-reaching by
the government.

I think it's not really a party political issue as much as it's a
citizenship issue - and i would encourage you all to pledge to get
involved in any way you can: this has to be the time to show that we
care about the future of our liberties... :)
