and behold, another letter:

     I am writing to say that we are not yet in a position to send
     you a substantive reply. We hope to respond by 8 July.

My original request was made on the 11th March ...   Which means that by
the time they send me my answer (or flat refusal, who can tell?) I could
have been locked up for 42 days precisely 2.833333 times!
