Hey everyone,

I just received some information (although have yet to verify it's accuracy)
that BT are planning to sell DPI services as a bolt-on to ISPs using the
21CN network. Now obviously this could be DPI for the purpose of legitimate
network management but it does certainly leave an unpleasant taste in my
mouth. In the leaked report BT have stated the need for some re-engineering
of the 21CN network in order to be able to deploy Phorm so it does seem a
little suspicious that there appear to be plans to sell DPI bolt-ons and
whereas I accept it doesn't mean this is going to include Phorm's "services"
it certainly needs to be clarified.

I can't post an explicit source as it apparently needs a login and username
to access, but perhaps some of you people have connections within the
industry who might be better placed to investigate this further?

Regards

Alexander Hanff
