I got a new credit card in the post this morning. It's a chip n' 
signature card, and I tried to sign it with a gel pen, then a biro, and 
then a Staedtler permanent marker.


All three signatures could be wiped off with spit on a thumb ... looks 
like a teflon finish to the signature strip!


Security? Never heard of it...


Reminds me of Tesco gift cards. They have a unique barcode on the back, 
which is visible when they are hung in racks, but no magstripe.

Slippery Sam reads the barcodes, and makes up some false cards with 
these barcodes. He waits until the cards have gone from the rack, when 
Mugsy will have put some money on it, and ...
