In the case of RIPA data, there are some substantial (and unusual)
protections in place. For example, requests only being accepted via
trained and authenticated points of contact. No mobile operator is going
to be fooled into releasing cellsite data to the Egg Marketing Board,
just because their CEO rang up and asked for it.
