Enough time has probably now passed for me to mention in a public place
that a long time ago I was involved in erecting fences and other things
around some unimportant military sites. I am now completely out of date
on the subject and of no use to anyone.
The military were concerned not to make their camps too strongly
defended. They would much rather the IRA attacked their camp, where
they at least had a chance of fighting back, than go after married
quarters.
