Actually this is something of a calumniation. Every lawyer I know has
reported to me that almost all juries take their responsibilities extremely
seriously, and work hard at trying to get it right. I get the impression
that frequently they are more considerate of the evidence and even-handed
than the bewigged one in charge of the proceedings.
