Wikipedia has an HTTPS access method.  I wasn't aware of it until this
nonsense came up, and it's not the 'obvious' method (ie. s/http/https/
in the URI), but I'll be using it from now on.  I don't expect anyone
to spy on my Wikipedia reading, just as I don't expect anyone to spy
on my paper encyclopedia reading either.  Here it is:
